This photo shows a detail of the top car, and some of
the wonderful views over the Severn Valley, described by King Charles
I in 1642 as "the finest in his domain".

The ticket office in the top station. The railway is
run by a driver at the top station, and an operator at the bottom station.
Both operator and driver sell tickets and postcards. Once the operator
has signalled to say that the bottom car is ready, the driver will operate
the lift.
